I made this for my Mother in Law who is battling breast cancer.. Thank you too my friend Shelly for directing me to this stamp... I water colored the background as well as the rainbow.. The rainbow has a special meaning for my Mother in Law and I thought it very appropriate for this.. The picture frame is actually an off white but in the picture it might look a little pinkish... I have to say this looks so much better in person...

I thought that it was about time to give everyone an update!

This is my first attempt at watercoloring.. Not too bad right?

I just love this stamp!!

This is a card that I made to send pictures in.

I took two 5 x 7 pieces of card stock and stitched them together. I then added the front to the two pieces. The sentiment is under the circles.

I used Stampin Up Crystal Effects on the front of the circle after I stamped and colored my image. I wanted to give it a shimmery watery look..

Someone asked a question on how I get the frames for my cards. I own a cricut machine that cuts all kinds of different shapes based on the cartridge used. I mostly use that for getting the scalloped circles and squares and other frames for my cards. Hope this is helpful!

Here is my weekly update of cards I have done.. I just love the lion and the look on his face! For this card I stamped on the inside "Having a Bad Day?" I thought that it was more than appropriate! This card is actually up for sale on ebay and has a bid! YAY! I have been trying to sell some of my creation on there. So far so good. Sorry about the poor quality of the next couple of pictures. I had to use my scanner instead of my camera as I let someone borrow my camera.
This is a card I did for a friend who just had a baby.
The next two are Mother's Day cards and the last card is just one I did with no particular theme. I had just gotten the stamp set and had to try them out! Speaking of stamp sets. I just got some in the mail from Stampin Up and also allthatscraps.com! I can't wait to use them! Hopefully I will have a little time this week or weekend end!

Here are quite a few cards from over the past couple weeks. Life has gotten more hectic if you can believe that. The kids have started sports and it pretty takes up my entire Saturday. I don't really mind as the kids just love it! Enjoy!

I have had these little boy and little girl stamps for a while and just haven't gotten around to using them. I was inspired by my son the other day when he came in and had muddy knees from playing outside!

This is one of my favorite stamps! It is part of the Rambling Ted line from Penny Black. I have just recently found these Rambling Teds on one of my favorite stamp sites to shop and I was sad to learn that a lot of them are retired and you can't get them anymore. : O ( I will keep looking online mostly at ebay to see if I can score some of them!

Wow it has been a while - yet again since I have posted here.. Where oh where has the time gone!?! Here are some of my latest creations.. As you can tell some are from Christmas time..

Altered Paint can for Matthew

Matthew has wanted a paint can likes Sissy for a while. So while we were out for school on Monday I decided to make his. He got to chose what he wanted on it. Here's what he came up with:

A doggy and an airplane...

A monkey driving a truck with an apple in the back pulling the boat... Oh let's not forget the spider!

For the lid I used my eyelet setter to punch a hole in the top and then I threaded a ribbon through and tied with a double knot so that it wouldn't come out. I crimped the inside edges of the paint can so that it comes on and off easier when pulled on my the ribbon.

Now he has a special place to store all of his crayons and markers! I also covered the can with modge podge for added protection!

(All of the above die cuts were cut with my Cricut by Provocraft!)

Busy weekend

So this weekend I completed the 70 Christmas cards for Jason and the company. Phew! Relief to have those done. I also completed a couple other cards. These are for a couple family members. I'm not going to tell who though, I want to keep you guessing! ; )

The stamp for this one is from house mouse. I stamped the image and colored with Stampin up water color pencils and I then used UTEE to give it a glossy look. The background paper is also from Stampin Up. I just thought that it was perfect for this card!

I also used UTEE and then cut out the golf ball and used pop dots to "pop" it out of the card. The inside says We wish you a toteely happy birthday!

The stamp for this card is from Stampin up. I colored with watercolor pencils and also used UTEE. Can you tell I am addicted to it?! To me it just adds so much more to a card!

Close up of the bath tub. I used a snow writer to make the bubbles and I added glitter before it dried all the way to give it that shiny bubbley look! : )

If most of you are like me. You are always behind the camera and hardly ever do LO's about yourself. I am always doing LO's of my kids and other family members, trips, etc. So when I saw this idea from Lisa Bearnson from Creating Keepsakes I knew I had to do it. I scraplifted some of her ideas and sayings and changed some of them. I am going to try and make an album like this every couple of years. I think my children would like to see these when they get older. I hope you enjoy!

Oh I have been so bad lately! I haven't posted to my blog, I haven't been crafting at all, except for what has to be done. Summer time is just so busy for us! Hopefully things slow down soon and I get back to my loved hobby of cutting, gluing and creating! : ) Hope all of the Fathers out there have a great Father's Day!! : )

Here are two of the Father's Day cards I did create this weekend. They were actually pretty easy to do. I used pop dots to make the collar and buttons stand out a little.

Ok so I have my Mother's Day cards completed and sent in the mail.. Finally! I have just been so busy as I have stated before that I can hardly find the time for any crafting! So... I have the cards done and I soooo want to share them with all of you but I don't want to quite post them yet. I don't want to spoil the suprise of the mother recipients should they look here before they receive them in the mail. I wonder what this month will bring! I know one thing it is going to bring ............. vacation!! Toward the middle of the month we will be off to the wonderful Outer Banks of North Carolina for an entire week and half! Ahh a much needed vacation! This is a view that I have from my balcony when I wake up in the mornings! The sound of the waves crashing and the salt air! What could be better than that?!?

I still have had no time for crafting, card making, scrapbooking. The kids sports have been keeping us busy. They enjoy participating so I really don't mind! I need to get going on Mother's Day cards and also my ATC's for a swap I am on the Cricut mb. I am also in a circle journal but I haven't had one head my way in a while. I can't wait to see my journal when it comes back to me! I have my fingers crossed that by Sunday evening I will have been able to sneak some crafting in some where this week!

After Samm tagged me I started looking for other blogs to tag. I found some and tagged them but since then I have been hunting all over for new blogs for inspiration! I have ran across quite a few and I will be posting a list of what I have compiled! Some of them have really wowed me!

I’ve been tagged one of my Cricut sisters! Thanks Samm!

I feel very "special" to have been chosen. I must admit I haven’t done very much card making (my first passion) or LO’s or any crafting for about a month or so now. I am just getting so busy with my kids that I am having a hard time find the time because when I do sit down to craft I am limited on time and I hate to be rushed when I am trying to be creative! I am starting to "Jones" over no crafting though so I think I am going to have to STOP and find the time. Anyway, I have been tagged so I believe what I am supposed to do is give 7 random facts about myself, then I need to "tag" 7 more people myself. Here are the "Official" rules I copied from Samm. Thanks Samm!

"Each player starts with 7 random facts/habits about themselves. People who are tagged need to blog about their 7 things and post the rules as well so everyone can join in! Ok so here are my facts/habits:

1. I am a crafting addict. I believe I am in a slump, lull, non crafting time right now though. For the past month or so I have been so busy. The kids have started their spring sports and my Saturdays are pretty much a goner. I’m just going to have to find time like I said before.

2. My Favorite vacation spot is the Outer Banks in North Carolina! We are actually going on vacation there the middle of May and I can’t wait!!!!

3. I drink coffee any chance I get!! I guess you could say I am a coffeaholic (not sure if that is even a word!) My most favorite coffee is from a local chain called Dunkin Donuts. Either French Vanilla or Hazelnut! YUM!

4. Not only am I a coffee addict but I am also a Internet addict. I must check my email every morning, several times a day and then at night right before bed! I wouldn’t want to miss anything happening!

5. I tend to worry about anything and everything. I like to always have a plan and I don’t really like the "unexpected".

6. I love spending time with my family. My husband, my two kids, our two golden retrievers who are quite the handful at times I must say and our two guinea pigs!! I love the weekends when we have no plans (which is vary rare nowadays) and we get to just spend quality time together! We are busy a lot of the time and the quite times don’t come very often so when they do I cherish them!

7. Besides being a coffee and craft addict, I am also addicted to reading. I LOVE to listen to books on my Ipod. When I am not listening to a book on my Ipod I am reading a paper back. I am currently listening to the complete Alex Cross series by James Patterson and I am also reading Tara Road by Maeve Binchy.

The first card is a christening card that I made. I used stampin up stamps and I watercolored them. I also used my handy dandy cuttlebug to make the background! Love that thing!

This next card is a birthday card that I completed that I need to get in the mail tomorrow! I used my cricut to cut out the dog. Only the inside of the card it says happy birthday!

No Specific theme to this card. I used a microscope slide for the "vase". Used UTEE for the the water effect.

I don't really care for the way "friend" came out. I wrote it with a white gel pen and for the life of me I can't find a REALLY good one that doesn't skip when you write with it! Arrr!

This is a paint can that Kayla and I worked on. She basically picked what she wanted on it and I put it all together! All of the shapes are cut from my Cricut machine! I also used some rubons that I had.

This is a card that I did for Easter. It took a while because there was quite a lot of detailing in the coloring of the bunnies costumes! Just gotta love the bunnies! Aren't they soo cute?
